STUDY TIME

The textbook I started is Dynamic Figure Drawing. I got it off of Steph’s external, and it’s pretty good so far, even though it’s surprisingly short. (60 pages? Come on.) I like this one more than History of Graphic Design, which was long-winded, even for a textbook. (Admittedly, I mostly read that one for it’s information on the Book of Kells.)

Back from Apocolyptour! It was super fun, and everyone probably felt the breeze I was creating batting those ridiculous lashes. Caleb and I were like old people and stood back by the merch booth with our waters away from all of the debauchery at the stage. It’s cool though, because we got a perfect view and I think we made eye contact with pretty much everyone who had to come center stage

I hope I get another chance to see them! I was hoping to get a picture with Joey Richter, but we had to go before they left the venue. BOOHOO

If you get the chance, it is definitely worth the 30-ish dollars!

Did you know that when I was in 5th grade, I legitimately believed that I was going to turn into Sailor Moon on my 14th birthday? I watched the show every morning, intensively collected and printed pictures from the then-prehistoric internet, drew paper tiaras and communicators for all my friends, and we all assumed sailor scout identities (I was Sailor Moon, of course).

Recently I’ve been rewatching the series subtitled, as an adult, and despite some of the weirdness (Tuxedo mask is in COLLEGE? And he’s dating a 14 YEAR OLD?) I still love the show. I just wanted to draw a little tribute, and mention that I’m thinking of making a totally new limited edition Sailor Moon themed print or screenprint to sell at SPX this year. Would you be interested in something like that?
